Jane has been involved in the computer industry for many
years, starting with analogue programming for simulations
in the aircraft industry.
As a qualified teacher and lecturer she was responsible
for the introduction of computer courses at Harrogate College
of Further Education.
Jane was seconded from the college to
be the county's IT NAFE (non-advanced Further Education) Liaison
Officer working with other Local Authority representatives
to produce an area report on computing facilities in the region,
and to manage a European Funded project for North Yorkshire
and Leeds Polytechnic (Leeds had
no remote rural areas!) Since leaving
the college, Jane has been involved in a variety of business
organisations, holding office in many of them including a
Directorship of Leeds Chamber of Commerce and is currently
President of Boroughbridge and District Chamber of Trade.
Professional Computer Services was started in 1989. The emphasis
has always been on training tailored to meet customer needs.
Over the years there has been a move away from group training
and now most work is done on customer sites, using their own
equipment - particularly in the area of accounts, payroll
and associated programs.PCS has
always aimed to offer a complete
service from advice through supply of hardware and software
to training, support and maintenance.In an ever changing world,
web design and hosting now plays an increasing part in the
business
